Drift is closing. Here is what moving looks like.
Announced 6 March 2026 by Clari + Salesloft, closed to new customers, with existing accounts running out their contracts. If Drift answered questions and captured leads for you, that part migrates in an afternoon. If it routed visitors to a sales rota, read the last section first.
What is actually happening, as of September 2026
The sunset is announced, the date is yours
Clari + Salesloft confirmed the sunset on 6 March 2026. No single public end date was published — access runs out per contract. The date that matters to you is the one in your renewal paperwork or migration notice, not one you read on a vendor's blog. Ours included.
New customers are already out
Drift is closed to new signups. If you are evaluating it today the decision has been made for you, and the only useful question is where to land.
A named successor is not automatically your successor
1mind was named the exclusive AI successor. That is a sensible default if you want continuity of the same sales-conversation model. It is not a reason to skip looking at what you actually use Drift for.
Migrations run late
The work is not the software, it is the inventory: which playbooks are live, which pages carry the widget, where leads land, who owns the routing rules. That audit takes longer than the setup that follows it.
What the move to Mingleego involves
Start with what you are replacing. Export the content your bot answered from — help articles, FAQs, price lists, policy documents — in PDF, CSV, JSON or TXT. That is the part with real value in it, and it transfers directly: attach the files to an agent and it answers from them instead of guessing. Then describe the agent in plain language rather than rebuilding playbooks node by node. Role, tone, what it must never say, which questions go to a human. There is no flow builder to reconstruct, which is the single biggest time saving in a migration like this and also the biggest change of habit. The widget is one script tag, loaded asynchronously so it does not slow your page down. Same agent, same knowledge, also available on Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Discord and Slack — connected from the same dashboard, billed from the same balance. Pricing works differently on purpose: no seats, no plans, no conversation allowance. You top up a balance and it goes down as the agents work, from $1 upward, with $2 of credit to start and no card. Spending is itemised under Usage, per agent and per day — useful in a migration month, when you want to know what the new thing costs before the old one switches off.
What carries over
Your knowledge base
PDF, CSV, JSON and TXT upload directly. The agent answers from your documents rather than from general knowledge, which is the behaviour you were paying for.
Lead capture into your CRM
HubSpot and other connected systems receive leads the agent collects, and it can read Shopify orders or write to a calendar during the conversation rather than after it.
The website widget, simplified
One line of HTML, full branding control, returning-visitor memory. React, Vue, Angular or any site that allows a custom script.
Model choice, per agent
Every GPT model on every account. A light model for routine questions, a heavier one where the answer carries weight.
The parts worth checking before you commit
The sales-routing half of Drift. Routing a visitor to a specific rep on a rota, ABM playbooks targeting named accounts, round-robin meeting booking against sales calendars — Mingleego does not do those. It is a multi-channel AI agent, not conversational marketing for a sales team. If those playbooks are the reason Drift was in your stack, look at 1mind or a dedicated sales-engagement tool, and treat this page as the wrong answer honestly given.
Try it while Drift is still running
$2 of credit, no card, nothing to cancel. Put an agent on one page, give it your existing help content, and see what it answers before the migration date makes the decision for you.
